Our Mission

Our Mission is to deliver care one diaper at a time, anchoring every product in dignity, traceability, and emotional resonance. We partners with local nonprofits, civic organizations, and faith-based groups to ensure that families receive the supplies they need without shame or delay.

Sustainability Strategy

Diaper Bank of Knoxville’s sustainability strategy centers on delivering quality FREE and low-cost diapers through our community-driven distribution, donor engagement, and partner alignment.

Who Do We Serve?

Low-Income Families

Low-income families with infants, toddlers, or dependents with medical needs.

  • Single parents, especially mothers facing housing or employment instability.
  • Partner agencies including shelters, clinics, churches, and social service providers.
  • Rural and underserved communities in Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

Our Purpose

Diaper banks swoop in like the heroes they are, providing a crucial service to families in need. Think of them as the Robin Hoods of the diaper world, ensuring that every baby’s bottom is covered. These organizations collect, store, and distribute diapers to families who may otherwise struggle to afford an essential item like diapers. Diaper banks are like a beacon of hope during a diaper emergency.

Psychological Effects

Picture this: You are already stressed about making ends meet, and then you realize you are running low on diapers. Cue the panic and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with not being able to provide for your little one. Diaper insecurity can take a toll on caregivers’ mental health, adding an extra layer of stress to an already challenging situation. It is like trying to solve a Rubik’s cube blindfolded – frustrating and overwhelming.

About Diaper Bank of Knoxville

Diaper Bank of Knoxville was founded to address diaper need in underserved communities, particularly across Tennessee. It operates as a regional distribution hub within the Misconi USA supply backbone, offering infant care, adult dignity supplies, menstrual care, hygiene kits, and household basics.

1 in 3 families in Tennessee struggles to afford enough diapers for their children.

Families living on assistance spend over 20% of their monthly TANF benefit just on diapers.

237,000+ children under age 3 are at risk of diaper need across the state.

Without diapers, parents often miss work or school because childcare centers require a daily supply.

Diaper shortages lead to higher health risks like rashes, infections, and ER visits.

Stress from diaper need contributes to greater caregiver anxiety and depression.

Local diaper banks and TennCare’s diaper benefit program are helping, but demand far exceeds supply.

Every donated dollar helps provide clean, dry diapers and dignity to Tennessee families in need.

Our Team

Diaper Bank of Knoxville is powered by a coalition of leaders, suppliers, partner agencies, advocates, and volunteers—each committed to restoring dignity throughout Tennessee.
